\"\"The simple truth is that we needed to extend our Indian visas and so we went to Sri Lanka. We spent 3 nights in Gampaha District with a couchsurfer. Our energetic host insisted we see Colombo, helped us map out a generic travel plan based largely on famous Sri Lankan sights and most importantly provided us with the first ceramic input we needed to set our course.<\/p>\n

Piliyandala is a suburb of Colombo city and home to many ceramic factories. We had a glance around the factory of Anuradha Ceramics<\/u><\/a> and met a ceramic student, Amrita<\/a>,<\/u> who similar to ourselves is on a journey with clay. She was an invaluable source of information and helped us greatly in experiencing Sri Lankan pottery.<\/p>\n
